Description: The Colosseum in Rome, Italy, also know as “The Flavian Amphitheater”, was built by Vespasian around 70 AD on the site of Nero’s residence. It was and is one of the Roman Empire’s greatest buildings. Gladiatorial games were held there for centuries. Outside the amphitheater is Arch of Constantine built in 315AD to mark the victory of Constantine over Maxentius at Pons Milvius.
